Derrick Torba is originally from Colorado Springs but has lived in Northern Colorado since 2017 after graduating from Regis University with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and taking a position with Rocky Mountain Physical Therapy. He served in the Air Force as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal technician before earning his Bachelors in Health Care Science and pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. Derrick has experience treating a multitude of disorders from musculoskeletal impairments and chronic pain to neurologic and vestibular disorders but really enjoys treating each person as a whole, unique individual with their own story. He utilizes manual therapy interventions such as joint mobilization/manipulation and functional dry needling to help patients achieve their goals. He is also passionate about corrective exercise and the ability of the body to adapt and heal when given the right tools. Derrick spends most of his free time with his girlfriend and their dogs Jax and Scout where you can usually find them roaming around the local trails and breweries. Derrick also enjoys fly fishing, snowboarding, disc golf and just being outside. He is a die-hard Tennessee Titans fan and hopes to watch them win the Super Bowl some day; it’s ok to dream big!
