Cup Therapy

NOW OFFERED at our Fort Collins Clinic

Cup therapy is also known as myofascial decompression (MFD) and is essentially western based physiologic treatment using eastern based medicine tools. Evidence shows it has been around since 3000 BC and continues to advance and evolve over time. It is now widely used among athletes to return them to high level performance faster than any other form of treatment.

What does it treat?

· General pain

· Muscle tightness

· Tendonitis

· Muscle strains

· Trigger points

· Scar tissue adhesions

· Headaches

· Muscle dysfunction

· Faulty movement patterns

How does it work?

The body is made of layers that glide on each other in normal functional tissues. When tissue damage occurs the fascial adhesions restrict motion and cause pain. MFD lifts the tissues causing a separation of the adhesions and fascia allowing full return to the gliding mechanism and relieving pain.

Seriously, I walked in limping with a brace on my first day, and left feeling wonderful, and I kept improving after each visit!!! The exercises and attention from the therapists (Kelsey and Jamie) have helped me tremendously, which has enabled me to become more active than I have in a few years. Rocky Mountain PT has turned out to be an excellent choice in doing my therapy. From the ease of scheduling through the office to the way they make you feel throughout the entire process is great. I had Derrick for the majority of my appointments and he was able to help alleviate so many of the post surgery issues I was having. He was always open ears to how I was feeling and I could tell he has a passion for really trying to "help". From one small business to another its nice to see a company that truly cares. Thank You Derrick!
