Cup Therapy

NOW OFFERED at our Fort Collins Clinic

Cup therapy is also known as myofascial decompression (MFD) and is essentially western based physiologic treatment using eastern based medicine tools. Evidence shows it has been around since 3000 BC and continues to advance and evolve over time. It is now widely used among athletes to return them to high level performance faster than any other form of treatment.

What does it treat?

· General pain

· Muscle tightness

· Tendonitis

· Muscle strains

· Trigger points

· Scar tissue adhesions

· Headaches

· Muscle dysfunction

· Faulty movement patterns

How does it work?

The body is made of layers that glide on each other in normal functional tissues. When tissue damage occurs the fascial adhesions restrict motion and cause pain. MFD lifts the tissues causing a separation of the adhesions and fascia allowing full return to the gliding mechanism and relieving pain.
